Stephen Box

Bringing together diverse research interests and practical experience in marine conservation, Steve’s role is to connect the dots between innovative research and real world application.

Steve Canty

Steven Canty

Mangrove Ecology

Steve coordinates the center’s projects based in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef and Eastern Pacific region. His research interests are mangroves and fisheries.

Iliana Chollett

Spatial Ecology and Marine Planning

Iliana develops spatially-explicit tools for ecological research and natural resource management, integrating marine ecology, oceanography, remote sensing and geographic information systems.

Courtney Cox

Coral Reef Ecology

Courtney focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of conservation strategies for restoring parrotfish populations and using molecular techniques to develop and improve coral reef conservation and management strategies.

Iris Segura

Molecular Ecology

Iris is working to unravel the connectivity patterns and temporal variations in the settlement of early life stages of ecologically and economically important species in the Caribbean using molecular genetic tools.

Nathan Truelove

Conservation Genetics

Nathan’s research explores pathways of connectivity in spiny lobster (Panulirus argus), queen conch (Strombus gigas), and yellowtail snapper (Ocyurus chrysurus) throughout networks of marine reserves and fishing grounds in the Caribbean.
